Creating custom USB memory sticks from concept to 3D graphics to development can be the easiest process or one of the most tedious processes depending on
the chain of authority of the company in question.

We sometimes have clients come to us with a concept that can be easily translated to viable 2D or 3D draft design that will be approved and developed for
the client. Some other clients come to us with unfinished ideas that have to be detailed out by sketches before diving head first into draft design. This
means that based on the requirements, helping to craft the appropriate concept image can become a part of the approval process. As the draft design for a
custom USB flash drive commission can only proceed after the concept image has been decided on and approved by the client. We have a detailed tried and tested stepped process in order to achieve perfection every single time. Our process can be seen below:-
So for example, a client calls us about developing a custom USB product based on a 44 gallon container USB drive with no concept image. The most detailed
information we were given was the company pantone colour they would want to transfer to the custom USB. Notice below the concept image that we developed.
In a case like the Range Rover Evoque, where the concept image was the most eagerly awaited car launch of 2011. We had to develop a draft design from the
100s of images of the new jewel in the Jaguar land rover line. The range rover Evoque was launched September 2011 and we had to present a draft design in
order for the order to be approved. The Range Rover Evoque custom USB sticks was
developed and the rest is history, notice below the draft design that secured the order.
The soldier custom USB came with a concept image and we had to develop a draft design. The depiction can be seen below:-
Sometimes when developing a custom USB flash drive concept, it might be easier and more time efficient to hand draft the concept image before sketching out
the 3D concept on the computer. This example is applicable when it relates to the Leo Bennett custom USB commission. The first image is the free hand concept image before being transferred to the second image which is a more structured 3D drawing.
When a major shipping company asks to develop a shipping container USB concept without an image or colour. It was left to us to develop a quick (not so
good) concept image that gives the client a hint of possibility that can then be evolved into to a more detailed 3D drawing. This was further developed into a more concise 3D drawing that can be signed off by the Danoas shipping board of directors.
The last example in the process of concept and draft design is the beer USB; 'the beer' company being a large company required a concept image that could
be presented to the marketing team in order to come to a decision. There was strict time constraints but couldn't develop a rough design simialr to the Danoas shipping image because our concept was competition with other concept ideas and we agreed that the marketing team presentation had to be actual representation of the proposed custom USB. The 3D image we designed can be seen below but they ended up going for Tankard option due to
the urgent nature of the requirement.
Most of these concept images were approved and became real life Promotional USB flash drive products. Whilst some
did not get past the draft design stage, we were still more than willing to expend the time and draft the concepts. We find that this helps our clients in
their decision making process and to make the best possible decision and should the clients need to present the Custom USB option to a group of decision
makers, our concept image or draft design will always help in this process.
