Phase 1: Choose Product/Customisation Options
Choosing your USB-extra promotional product
USB-extra offers an expansive collection of customisable USB products. Ranging from our flagship USB Promotional Flash Drives to the attention-grabbing USB Promotional MP3 Players; and we constantly add more market driven premium USB marketing tools to give our customers the advantage. We carry the widest selection of custom USB products on the Internet in a variety of models, colours, sizes and shapes. If you can’t find the product you are looking for or you have a specific product in mind, we can offer an Extra sourcing service – if we can’t source it – our world renowned product designers will help you manufacture that perfect marketing tool.
Imprinting Options
We offer varying logo imprint options for your custom USB Memory Stick. Imprint options are based on product material (high injected plastic or leather), product size and shape (may determine printing technology - pad or screen printing) and imprint areas (both sides or 1-sided). Certain imprint options - like laser engraving and heat stamping - are only suitable on select models. Check individual product page to view the imprint options/areas available for a specific model.
Similar coloured logo in different shades is regarded and printed as 2 colours and may incur extra fees - e.g., a logo with dark grey and light grey is regarded as a two-colour imprint. If your logo has gradients or fades, please inform your sales associate to ensure you select the most suitable logo imprint option.

1-4 Colour Imprint
Using screen or pad printing; this method is ideal for single colour logo USB and for 1-4 colour logos without gradients, fade outs or complex overlapping colour. |
Multi-Colour Process
Suitable method for multi-colour artwork and logos. Highly effective for logos with gradients, fade outs and complex artwork comprising lots of colours. |
Heat Embossing
The embossing process gives the classic finish by leaving a depression of your logo onto the surface of our leather products. Providing extra logo permanence. |

Laser Engraving
Laser engraving is the de facto method for customising all metal products. Laser engraving offsets the metallic material; giving a clean, glossy and polished appearance whilst providing extra logo permanence. We engrave the most detailed of artworks; from basic texts and graphics to complex bitmap files, vector files and photographs. With laser engraving, the clarity of the detail is highly dependent on the specific material. |

Extra Colours Available
You’ve seen the ideal product for your market but its not available in your desired colour – don’t worry! We customise the body colour of many of our Flash Drives to specification. Click Here for full details. Extra colours might generally add to the standard turnaround times, our sales rep will advise you at the time of ordering.
Advance customisation/Tooling/Unlisted Products
We only showcase our best selling products, for example we have over 100 different styles of Flash Drives and over 70 different styles of mice. If you can't see the product you are interested in, let one of our sales representatives know and we'll make certain we find it for you. We also provide designing and tooling for all customers interested in developing their own USB Flash Drive according to their specifications. Phase 2: Artwork and Logo Submission
Suitable artwork and logo submission is very important and will significantly accelerate the production and printing process. It is important to communicate all noteworthy information about your customisation and specifications; notification of deadlines is essential to our ability in satisfying your customisation and target needs. Please contact your USB-extra sales representative about questions and concerns.
Artwork and Logo Submission
On acceptance of a quote, we will provide you with an e-mail address to submit your artwork/logo file(s). After our graphic designers have received your artwork, we'll send you a mock-up with your logo on the product(s) you have chosen for customisation. It is imperative to furnish us with any/all specifications requirement when you submit your logo.
Logo Size and Placement
If size and imprint area is not specified on your order, our graphic designers will work out the suitable size and placement based on your artwork and specification. Mock-ups and proofs are provided at no added cost - providing no artwork retouching is required - notice 'Artwork Fees' below. Mock-ups provided for final approval are also at no extra cost.
Adequate/acceptable Logo format
Vector artwork is the de facto format for logos; the vector format is the industry standard for printing 1 colour logos and above. If you do not have a vector artwork file of your logo, one can be created for you for a small fee. You can submit an “Encapsulated PostScript” (.eps) or an “Adobe Illustrator” (.ai) file. Rasterised artwork (.bmp, .jpg, .gif) can only be accepted for logos with 1 colour. Logos or artwork received in a non-vector format could result in added artwork fees - notice 'Artwork Fees' below. It is important that texts in your logos are embedded in the file or made into outlines; this is to avoid substituted or lost fonts. Graphic Design and Artwork Fees
USB-extra employs a team of highly skilled graphic designers; creative and experienced professionals that can communicate and depict your specifications. Our graphic design services range from logo creation and bespoke package design and printing to the higher heights of product designing. We are a reputable substitute for the companies without in-house designers and can develop quality artwork for any part of your USB-extra product. We provide all mock-ups to our clients free of charge. Artwork touch-ups, re-sizing, clean-up and typesetting requiring less than 30 minutes is free. Any additional time required in generating vector artwork or cleaning up low resolution artwork will be billed accordingly. Contact a sales representative for artwork fees.
Phase 3: Processing Your Order
Turnaround Times
We can offer very quick turnaround times for most of our products. Extremely complex logos and artwork and bespoke packaging may slow down the process; please view our Sprint Service section if you are interested in Sprint Service. Alternatively, standard turnaround times can be viewed on each individual product.
Minimum Order Quantities
Minimum order quantity applies to most of our Imprinted USB products. MOQ (minimum order quantities) is essential as USB-extra offers wholesale prices alongside wide-ranging customisation variety, product molding and tooling and Extra colours. MOQ details are not available on the website and are subject to change; please confer with your sales representative about your particular USB-extra product and whether there is a minimum order quantity. MOQ may also apply to various products before customisation.
Changes to Your Order
If an eleventh-hour change is required to your order, it is possible that we might still be able to make the adjustment required to your original agreement. As we seek to give our customers the advantage, we endeavour to make last-minute order changes where possible; in some cases, we might NOT be able to make a last-minute adjustment.
Order replacement – Cancellations – Warranty Info
After your USB-extra products have been imprinted with your logo; unfortunately, no further adjustment or alteration can be made. For this reason, please make sure that you proofread and scrutinise all the artwork and documents you submit to us. We do not offer returns or refunds are on logo imprinted USBs. USB-extra products have a 1 year limited warranty and will be exchanged if broken.
