As we introduce the power bank as feature as one of our range of retainable and exquisite branded USB products. We feel it is important to detail what
makes up the power bank and the details we put pressure on to produce the very best branded power bank commission.
The power bank is a public mould; this means that there is no specific intellectual property requirements needed to reproduce our range of printed power
banks. Public moulds are electronic OEM products that have been developed with stated specifications and schematics that have been designed by mould
manufacturers with corresponding schematics for assemblers. What determines the quality rate is the grade of quality of the material or component that is
used.
When talking components for your custom mobile power bank, there are 4 main components that make up your promotional power bank. These are lithium ion
battery, the power bank housing, the bracket and the PCB.
The lithium-Ion Battery
-
The lithium ion battery is to the power bank what the IC chip is to branded usb memory sticks' -
it is by far the most important component in the custom printed power bank and intrinsically determines the end quality of your promotional USB commission.
At USBEXtra, we use the highest quality Grade A 18650 core lithium-ion battery for all our power banks. The quality of the lithium
ion battery affects the standard storage time, the standard cycle, service life, energy retention period, performance under high and low temperature, the
quality of cyclicity and so much more! Good eggs will always make good omelettes and the quality of the lithium-ion battery is not one we compromise on in
order to deliver a cheaper product.
There are 5 steps used to verify the QC of all our lithium ion batteries:-
IQC:
inspects and assesses the material quality to verify it adheres to the factory standard.
IPQC:
This process will controls the QC during manufacturing process as the battery follows the standard assembly line.
QA:
the QA verifies all the readings and is based on the standards of the IEC for the specific battery requirement.
QE:
The documentation data is reviewed in order to ensure it is in line with all expected threshold numbers - this will help solve many problems in advance and
eradicate problems at the charging and discharging level as explained in the
QA blog for promotional power banks
.
OQC:
The quality is checked again and we ensure only the lithium ion batteries that meet the Grade A specification is used for your logo printed power banks.
The Power Bank Housing & The Bracket
-
As most power banks are public moulds as described above, the power bank housing and the bracket are supplied by the mould manufacturers' and it's
impossible to get this aspect wrong. The QA process for this material comes in assembling and gluing the casing properly. USBEXtra bring our experience to
bear in this simple but critical segment of the product assembly. An example fault that can develop from an unsettled assembly can be seen below:-
The PCB
- This is where the brain of the power bank lies. The intelligence to monitor the drainage of the battery, or with some PCBs to switch off the power bank
when not in use are some of the functions the ICs can be programed to perform. This is where the public mould designers can be really creative with the
programming of the PCBs that control and navigate the use of the branded power banks and comes with the schematics as part of the prescribed design feature for each particular power bank mould design. The more complex the PCBs, the more
expensive that particular public mould.
