After the economic downturn, we began to experience many non-payment and 30 day payment terms turned to 90 days for some clients to make the payment and some clients not paying at all. The option was maybe to change or at least trial the Experian system that was been offered for free at the time.

The final solution we came up with was to change our terms to payment before delivery. This means that payment can be received between order confirmation and the 7-10 days it takes to complete the order. This also helps our cash flow as there’s very very little mark-up in what we do.

The safeguard for clients for customers is that this adapted payment terms from 2011 does not affect consumer rights and any faulty (we’ve not had any faulty product items in 3 years) can still be returned.

The other positive side is that we’re still offering public organisations (schools, councils, etc.) our 30 day terms after order confirmation.
