How long will it take to charge my power bank portable chargers?
This is a question we get asked all the time. If you’re a USBEXTRA client, this is a question you will know the answer to. As the whole world is not
privileged enough to experience the wonderful services we provide - we have decided to put our technical know-how in a blog for others that might be
wondering………”how long it takes to charge their power bank portable battery charger”.
There are 2 factors that determine the “charge time” of your power banks.
The first one is the lithium-ion battery size.
The second is the Input flow (Amp)
This might seem really straight forward but the “size of the battery” is critical. An PBX-802 power bank battery charger with 8800maH
will take longer to charge when compared to the PBX-203 portable charger battery with 2200maH.
The second factor is the “input flow”. The input flow is the relative amount of electric charge required for the charging of the
lithium battery. As power banks are mostly recharged through the computer or laptop, the input flow and the quality used can affect the charge time. So for
the PBX-802 power bank that is designed to charge tablets we have a 2.1A (as opposed to the 1A in a 2000-2600mAH power bank) input flow to enable the faster charging of a heavier duty device like the Apple or
Samsung tablet.
The formula is:-
Battery Capacity DIVIDED BY Input Flow = Charge Time
Using PBX-203 with 2000mAH Lithium-ion battery and a 1A input flow.
= 2000mAH/1000MA (1A converted to milli-ampheres) = 2 hours
So a standard 2000mAH power bank portable charger will take about 2 hours to recharge.
Finally, we have an outstanding service where we precharge your promotional power bank. This service is FREE OF CHARGE! The only factor is that it increases the turnaround and delivery time of your printed portable
charger. Notice the image below of a recent mass QA process that finishes with a precharge of your branded external battery charger, meaning your
promotional product is ready at the point of being given out.
