Blogging About Your Branded Technology Product Commission

We recently fell afoul of one of our clients by blogging about their branded portable charger and they would have preferred we ask for permission before posting an article about their marketing product.

Our eagerness to share ideas and how other marketers are maximising their personalised USB drive is our core motivation for creating the blog in the first place. At the moment, we post less than 10% of the branded USB flash drives that we develop on the USBEXTRA blog. Our criteria for posting blog is to ensure that it is informative and not just a cheap backlink to achieve SEO or facilitate link juice. In keeping with this thinking, most of our articles are based on the issues presented by marketers and how we’ve been able to resolve or attend to these issues.

The branded technology product that was the subject of this blog is the branded power bank charger. As the promotional portable charger is pretty new to the market, it might seem recently that many more of our articles have been about the printed power banks. We are clearly very enthusiastic about this new branded technology offering. We believe it is the most potent branded ISB product on the market ta the moment.

We have apologised to our client and will amend the blog in line with their recommendations should they want us to do that. As the nature of what we do is very visual, we inserted some wordings in our Terms and conditions Sec 12 3 years ago to inform clients that we do post digital mock-ups and finished commission images on our social media accounts and blogs. If you do not wish for USBEXTRA to feature any commissions developed for your company, please let us and we’re more than willing to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) form.

A mentioned above, we are very happy to sign the NDA form and we blogged about signing an NDA form 2 years ago. We truly believe the printed power bank is special and we’re just trying to showcase the benefit as much as possible.
